The original platform the reformer came with was really too small and not compatible with the platform extender so I purchased the new bigger one. It would have been sweet if the larger platform came with the extender with a discount for the platform as the original platform just seems like a design mistake.

Love this! In case you hadn’t realized it also fits perfectly on the rails between the carriage and risers. Great for backward facing quadruped exercises if you don’t love the grip on the rails. The larger platform is great too - honestly the reformer should just come with that die rather than the smaller.
