Promote your program.
Before launching your classes, educate staff members about Pilates so they have a thorough and complete understanding of it. This enables your employees to effectively create a buzz among existing members before your program begins. Signage around your building advertising the up-coming launch of your program can add to the buzz, as can posters educating members about the physical benefits offered through Pilates training.
Create a Marketing Plan both Internally and Externally.
- Provide Pilates-specific brochure & sales materials to offer members
- Educate members (and staff) on the benefits of Pilates, testimonials, success stories, sports-specific injury prevention and life longevity
- Print/Radio advertisements
- Point-of-Purchase materials (posters, flyers, etc. placed prominently around the club)
- Staff buttons or t-shirts that read “Ask Me About Our Pilates Program”
- Newsletters/Schedules/Website
- Differentiate Pilates from other offerings: Market it as an addition to a fitness regime, not a replacement
Grass Roots Marketing
- Establish a Referral Program with other professionals in the community (Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, etc.) and members - give a free session for each referral
- Throw a Pilates "Open House" for members – offer free sessions, evaluations, handouts or speakers on the benefits of Pilates
- Create a Communications Program: Provide press releases and media advisories of promotional events to local newspaper and television mediums
