A reformer is an essential piece of equipment found in every Pilates studio. Peak Pilates® is proud to offer two different types of reformers to meet your needs. Our reformers are customizable to meet the specific demands of your studio.
Two Different Types of Reformers
Are you in the market for a new Pilates reformer? Peak Pilates offers the following types of reformers, designed to meet the needs of your studio:
Classic Reformer: Our Classic Reformer was carefully constructed to meet the exact specifications of Joseph Pilates himself. Many studios consider this type of Pilates reformer the most important piece there is. Peak Pilates is proud to provide you with a high-quality, durable machine that you can count on. Features include a wraparound foot bar cover, solid hardwood frame, premium Boltaflex® vinyl upholstery, smooth ultra-glide tracking system, carriage construction of 13-ply Baltic birch with hardwood veneers and a Peak Pilates lifetime warranty.
Premier Reformer: An innovative spin on the classic Pilates reformer, the Premier Reformer features a four-position gear system with negative gear that offers greater hip and knee flexibility by bringing the carriage closer to the footbar. The Premier Reformer features a solid oak frame and legs, a quick-conversion ultra-glide hinged carriage, a convenient three-position headrest, five spring system, a gear block and so much more! Choose from two package types - the Leather Strap Package or the Rope and Riser Package. You also have the option to upgrade the standard black upholstery to one of 64 custom colors.
Pilates Reformer Exercises
The reformer is definitely the most well known piece of Pilates equipment. Invented by Joseph Pilates, this bed-like frame contains a flat platform - known as the carriage - that rolls back and forth on the frame. A person’s body weight and resistance of springs on the reformer determine the ease of moving the carriage, which can be easily adjusted to meet each person’s skill level.
Pilates reformer exercises offer a great deal of versatility. Workouts can be completed sitting, pulling the straps of the machine, lying down, standing, pushing the footbar, on the footbar, on the shoulder blocks, using additional equipment, sideways, upside down and more. This machine is a great investment for any studio or Pilates enthusiast, because it can be used for everyone from beginners to the most advanced practitioners.
Regular practice on the reformer can do wonders for the body. This classic piece of Pilates equipment increases flexibility, strength, balance and coordination. Those who use the reformer on a steady basis can benefit from improved posture, decreased back pain and take on an overall more graceful flow of movement.
Purchasing a reformer is a huge investment, so you want to make sure you’re working with a company you can trust. Contact Peak Pilates today to discuss the needs of your studio with a helpful and knowledgeable member of our team. We’re here to help you choose the best reformer to meet your needs.
