Peak Pilates® Donates to Breast Cancer Charities
Peak Pilates donated nearly $2,000 to variety of breast cancer charities in recognition of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Peak Pilates featured three personal stories on the company’s online community. The stories were written by Pilates instructors and studio owners whose work focuses specifically on rehabilitation efforts for breast cancer patients and survivors.
Peak Pilates contributed a donation of $500 for each story to a breast cancer charity of the contributor’s choice. In total, $1,500 was donated to Komen for the Cure Houston, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and City of Hope in Los Angeles.
“Thank you, Peak Pilates, for your willingness to make such a generous donation to this important cause,” said contributor and breast cancer survivor Leslie E. Talisman, owner of Lila Jolla Studios in La Jolla, California. “It was a privilege to use my writing as a way to educate others on this topic.”
