Olympic Champ Julia Mancuso uses Peak Pilates MVeT Chair to Prepare for Ski Tour
Pilates workout helps gold-metal downhill skier keep in shape on and off the mountains
Peak Pilates®, an industry leader in single source Pilates solutions, is pleased to announced that Olympic Champion Julia Mancuso has chosen Peak Pilates’ revolutionary equipment to stay in top shape for when she’s on top of the mountains.
Wolfgang Denk, Managing Director of the Peak Pilates distributor in Germany/Austria was contacted by Mancuso to find a piece of Pilates equipment for her daily workout purposes while on the World Cup Ski Tour in Europe. Mancuso does Pilates daily while on road and it has become an important part of her physical workout. The Peak Pilates MVe® Chair was chosen for Mancuso, as it is easy to maneuver from one event location to another while still offering a perfect classical Pilates equipment piece for a total Pilates workout. Mancuso’s personal coach is Kazuko Ikeda, a former ski racer herself. Ikeda is also an educated Pilates trainer in her native Japan. Ikeda is trained as a Pilates teacher from Metropolitan Pilates in Seattle, Washington.
Mancuso, 23, who has been deemed “the best American female skier of her generation,” took home a gold-medal in the giant slalom at the 2006 Torino Olympics and has recorded five top-three finishes in four different disciplines this season alone. In addition to keeping in shape, the California girl has also recently released her own clothing line.
