How long is each certification program? Are there prerequisites for the programs?
Each of the following certification programs require different time commitments. All of our certification programs require you to be CPR Certified as well as we recommend some back ground in anatomy and bio-mechanics, as well as a minimum of 20 hours of Pilates participation.

What materials do I need before starting a program?
Each certification program has specific Peak educational materials (manuals and DVD’s) which are required for the program. These materials are clearly outlined for each course and can be purchased through Peak, additionally some of our course have a short list of required outside reading.

How does Peak differ from other certification programs?
At Peak Pilates our goal is to maintain the highest standards for Pilates education in the industry. Many of our Teacher Trainers have been with the company for more than 8 years and we also maintain strict quality standards when recruiting new Teacher Trainer. Our Teacher Trainer education process is rigorous and is designed to set our new Teacher Trainers up for success. We strive to maintain the highest quality standards in the industry. We have developed a proprietary formula for delivering Pilates Teacher Training which includes a 10 step protocol for teaching exercises and a 5 part formula for successful coaching.

Do you provide payment plans?
Currently only the PPS course offers a payment plan. All payment plans are arranged through the Peak office. Peak Pilates Professional Certification program is broken into modules which are priced the same.

What is the PMA and how is Peak involved?
The PMA stands for the Pilates Method Alliance – which is the not for profit professional association and certification body for the Pilates method. Peak Pilates/Mad Dogg Athletics support the PMA and its mission as well as we are a regular equipment sponsor of the PMA Annual Meeting.

Do I have to take the PMA exam after the program?
The Peak Pilates Professional Certification Program will fully prepare you to sit for the PMA Pilates Certification Exam. We recommend that you take this exam after you complete are program, you are not required to do so.

Do Peak Pilates' programs satisfy knowledge and requirements to take the PMA exam?
Yes, Completion of all 3 levels of our Peak Pilates Professional Certification Program actually exceeds the educational hour requirements to sit for the PMA exam.

What is required in order to maintain my certification?
Peak Pilates requires 14 hours of continuing education credit every 2 years.
