I am a new reformer instructor and have a brand new student who has never tried pilates before. She is now on her 7th session. The other night however, she complained about a strange muscle she felt that was pulling deep inside her pelvic floor area. What can I do to assure this won't happen to her again and/or what exercises should I have her avoid for a while until it heels? What do you think caused it? I believe it could have been because she's new to pilates and it could be not so much that she pulled a muscle there but that she is experiencing deep muscle soreness which she has never experienced before. Or could it be something I could have avoided from happening to her?! Please help! She loves the classes and I would hate to lose a student over this!
